Hong Kong expands social distancing due to new Covid-19 outbreak
Beijing, Jul 14 (Prensa Latina) Hong Kong (south of China) is reinforcing the social distancing on Tuesday in order to curb effectively the third Covid-19 outbreak, which is more intense than the first one, as it has infected hundreds of people in a few days.
The Government will impose a ban on public meetings of more than four people and will close, as of Wednesday and for a week, 12 indoors sites, including beauty parlors and gyms.
Authorities will reestablish the limit to the number of clients in restaurants, and urged people to prevent visiting those places in large groups, because they are the origin of many contagions.
Meanwhile, the Council of Trade and Development postposed several events scheduled for this week, including a book fair, a fair on sports and recreation, and a meeting on education.
Health authorities describe the situation as more serious than when the epidemic broke out in China early this year, because every day there are more people whose sources of infection are unknown.
