Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus thank Cuban doctors (+ Photos)
Turin, Italy, Jul 14 (Prensa Latina) Famous socer player Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus FC on Tuesday praised the work of Cuba's Henry Reeve medical brigade, deployed for several months in Italy to help fight the new coronavirus pandemic.
The members of the Cuban medical team received dozens of original T-shirts of the five-time winner of the Golden Ball, signed by him.
Cristiano and Juve had the deference of the Cuban health professionals working there, in gratitude for the work they are doing in the fight against Covid-19, in one of the areas most affected by the virus.
Both the team's management and the star player regretted not being able to make the delivery personally, as the entity's health protocol does not allow them to do so. However, they did not hesitate to make a gesture to the people who came from Cuba to help Italians at such difficult time.
According to Cubasi website, for the Cuban medical brigade it was a special moment in the midst of the hard work, especially for those football fans and especially for the Turin club.
So far, the group of doctors saved the lives of hundreds of people since their arrival in the territory and will be offering their solidarity help as long as it is needed.
Since the beginning of the growing spread of the Covid-19 all over the planet, Cuba, through the Henry Reeve contingent, has sent medical aid to more than 35 countries, including developed nations such as Italy itself.
