La Paz, Jul 17 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia registered a record number of infections from Covid-19 with 1,938 new cases in a single day and a total of 54,156 positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic last March, health authorities reported Friday.
The de facto government's health ministry reported that, of the total number of cases in the last 24 hours, 1,73 belong to the department of Santa Cruz, which heads the most affected regions of the country.
La Paz and Cochabamba follow as the departments most impacted by the pandemic with nearly 8,000 and 6,000 cases, respectively, since March, according to the epidemiological report.
