Over 800,000 new positive cases of Covid-19 in Russia
Moscow, Jul 24 (Prensa Latina) Russia reached 800,849 cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infections on Friday, while the total number of deaths rose to 13,046, for a national mortality rate of 1.63 percent.
Russia registered a minimum daily growth rate of 0.7 percent for the first time since the beginning of April this year, even though the general figure keeps this country in the fourth place worldwide, surpassed by the United States, Brazil and India.
In addition, the number of cases in the last 24 hours fell below six thousand for the fifth consecutive day, something considered by experts as a justification for lifting prohibitions, such as in Moscow province, where massive rallies of less than three thousand people will be allowed.
Eight thousand 444 people were discharged from hospital on Thursday, for a total of 588,774 recovered patients and a national recovery rate of 73 percent.
One thousand 477 of the total number of those infected in 84 out of 85 Russian regions were asymptomatic, as the operational staff for the fight against Covid-19 reported.
One hundred 54 patients died of Covid-19 also on Thursday, including 27 in Saint Petersburg, 15 in Arkhangelsk, 11 in Moscow, 10 in the Moscow province, eight in Perm and seven in the Sverdlov region.
Two hundred forty-eight new cases were detected in Sverdlov, 196 in Janti-Mansisk, 194 in Nizhnegorod and 181 in Saint Petersburg.
