Damascus, Jul 28 (Prensa Latina) The Syrian Arab Army on Tuesday bombed terrorist bastions with artillery and rockets in the northern province of Idlib, 310 kilometers north of this capital.
The positions of the self-styled Organization for the Liberation of the Levant, formerly known as Al-Nousra, were destroyed by the army's fire in the towns of Fatira, Kansafra, Ain Larose, Arnabeh, Safouhen, Feleifel and Halouba, local media reported.
The action by the Syrian soldiers responds to constant attacks with rockets by the terrorists on Syrian military positions, the latest of which hit Kafernubel and its surroundings.
The Syrian army recently reinforced its positions with soldiers and weapons after receiving information that the jihadists were preparing an attack.
After a military offensive early this year in which the army liberated 54% of Idlib, Russia and Turkey agreed, on March 6, on a ceasefire that was never respected by the radicals.
