Kenya's health authorities record 788 new Covid-19 cases
Nairobi, Jul 30 (Prensa Latina) Kenya's health authorities recorded on Thursday another 788 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, rising to 19,913 afflicted so far in the country.
The Chief Administrative Secretary of Health Rashid Aman also told the local press that 14 deaths from Covid-19 occurred on Wednesday, amounting the death toll to 325.
There are another 100 recoveries from Covid-19, bringing the total number to 8,121 in the country, said Aman, noting that up to date, experts have analyzed 295,280 samples nationwide to detect if people are carriers of SARS-CoV-2 virus or not.
On the press briefing, the authority urged the general population, especially men who are the most affected by the coronavirus in this country, to comply with established health protocols such as maintaining physical distancing, wearing facemasks and washing their hands frequently.
Kenya, as other African countries, has lately experienced a peak in Covid-19 cases, being another victim of the hazardous and worrisome pandemic.
