Dominican Republic: 1,160 deaths and 69,649 Covid-19 infections
31 de julio de 2020, 16:5Santo Domingo, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) The number of deaths in the Dominican Republic from the novel coronavirus rose Friday to 1,160, while positive cases reached 69,649, the Public Health Ministry reported.
As for those infected, 5,395 are in hospital isolation and 26,624 in the same state, but in their homes.
Of the total number of confirmed cases, the average age is 38, 190,522 were ruled out and 36,470 recovered.
The provinces with the highest number of Covid-19 infections are the National District (20,269), Santo Domingo (16,517) and Santiago (6,392).
The average age of the deceased is 66 years, 66.64 percent of whom are men, who had a history of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
Of the 14 new deaths, five were in Santo Domingo; two in Monte Plata, the National District and La Altagracia, and one per capita in Espaillat, Monseñor Nouel and San Pedro de Macoris.
