Over 93,000 deaths of Covid-19 in Brazil
Brasilia, Jul 2 (Prensa Latina) Some 1,088 people died of SARS-CoV-2 in Brazil on Saturday, bringing the total to 93,563, according to the latest bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
The ministry also reported another 45,392 new positive cases of the disease, for a total of 2,707,877.
Of the total of patients, 1,865,729 recovered from the disease and 748,585 people are being kept on follow-up.
According to the balances disclosed by the National Council of the Secretariats of Health of all the states of the country, July was the worst month for Brazil since the beginning of the health crisis, with a total of 32,912 confirmed deaths, followed by July, with more than 30,000 deaths.
Some 202 people died in March from the pandemic, 5,804 in April, 23,335 in May, 30,315 in June and 32,912 in July.
According to the disclosed data, nine of the 27 states in the country show an increase in deaths in the last week compared to the previous one, while there is stability in eight states and there has been a decrease in another 10.
Brazil is the second country in the world with the most infected by Covid-19, second only to the United States.
