Syria denounces agreement of U.S. with allies on oil
Damascus, Aug 2 (Prensa Latina) Syria described the oil agreement of the Kurdish-majority Syrian Democratic Forces (SDS) with the United States as 'theft' and 'contract between thieves.'
'This constitutes an attack on national sovereignty and the continuation of the hostile approach by the United States to stealing the wealth of the Syrian people and hindering efforts towards reconstruction,' as per a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Repatriates.
Said statement considers the agreement null and void, and warns again that such despicable acts reflect the approach of the SDS as lackeys who agreed to be a puppet of the U.S. occupation forces.
As the communiqué stresses, those mercenary forces must realize that the brutal occupation of the United States will inevitably end and will be defeated, just as the terrorist groups were defeated at the hands of the Syrian state.
The United States has deployed no less than a dozen military bases in the northern provinces of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Hasaka, and controls oil and gas fields in said regions together with the SDS.
