Angola reports 81 new cases and three deaths from Covid-19

Luanda, Aug 3 (Prensa Latina) Angola's government reported on Monday another 81 cases and three deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
On the usual press briefing, the Secretary of State for Public Health Franco Mufinda updated the Covid-19 local situation, reiterating the call for the population to comply with sanitary measures in the face of the daily peak in new cases and deaths.
As the expert explained, 73 afflicted reside in different municipalities in Luanda province and the others are inhabitants of the northern territories of Cabida (six), Bengo (one) and Uige (one), which alerts on the spread of the SARS-Cov2 coronavirus.
In the last 24 hours, Covid-19 disease caused another three deaths; in turn, there are 15 recoveries, indicated the representative of the multisectoral commission in the fight against the pandemic.
So far, he summarized, the country accumulates 1,280 Covid-19 cases, which includes 58 deaths, 476 recoveries and 746 active cases.
Among those admitted in hospitals, there are 20 in severe condition, four in a critical situation and 27 have moderate symptoms of the disease, while the rest remain asymptomatic, Dr. Mufinda detailed.
