Russia with 77.6 percent of patients recovered from Covid-19
Moscow, Aug. 6 (Prensa Latina) Russia today reports 77.6 percent of patients recovered from the total number of those positive to SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which caused the Covid-19 pandemic, although concern is growing about the epidemiological situation in the south of the country.
On the last day, 7,331 patients left the hospitals, for a total of 676,357 recovered.
The country reached 871,894 positive cases, after 5,267 were detected in the last 24 hours, indicated the operational staff to deal with Covid-19. The daily figure is below six thousand infected for the seventeenth consecutive day. However, the top leader of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksionov, said that since the opening of beach tourism on July 1, and with the arrival of thousands of vacationers, the number of infected there grows rapidly.
Aksionov said that 39 people were infected in one day, the highest number in the Crimea since the beginning of the pandemic in March, for a total of 1,386 cases, 701 of which were detected after the start of the summer season. That was a 60 percent increase.
Something similar is happening in the Kuban area, which includes Krasnodar district and its spas in Sochi, where the infectious growth was 66 percent. The southern Russian zone has a total of 3,946 people positive.
The number of deaths in Russia now stands at 14,490, with 139 recorded on the last day. The mortality rate is 1.68 percent.
