Syria's authorities report the highest daily peak of Covid-19 cases
6 de agosto de 2020, 15:34Damascus, Aug 6 (Lartina Press) Syria's Ministry of Health reported on Thursday another 55 Covid-19 cases, the highest peak in a day since the onset of the pandemic on March 22.
Thus, the total of afflicted reached 999, of which there are 311 recoveries from Covid-19 and 48 deaths, the source indicated.
The country's health authorities insist on the population to respect prevention measures in workplaces, religious services and institutions, and administrative procedures, among others.
So far, the suspension of classes in primary and secondary education and the prevention of travel between provinces are maintained.
Likewise, the closure of borders, with the possibility of openings on account of Lebanon's contingency to aid the neighboring nation in the face of the blasts that occurred in Beirut, Syrian authorities released.
