Messi donates 50 ventilators to Rosario hospitals in Argentina
Buenos Aires, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) Argentine Lionel Messi donated 50 ventilators to several hospitals in his hometown of Rosario in Argentina, one of the several hit by Covid-19.
According to various media reports, the first batch of 32 ventilators arrived in a shipment on Friday at Rosario airport and will be handed over to Rosario hospitals, which has reported 988 Covid-19 cases so far, out of a total of 2,132 reported in the province of Santa Fe.
'The arrival of ventilators was delayed by the current situation caused by the coronavirus but they were finally able to be shipped,' several local newspapers reported.
This is another Messi's various donations to Argentina after sending on March instruments and ventilators to Garrahan Hospital in Buenos Aires, which were shared with other health centers in the country.
Likewise, at the beginning of the pandemic in Argentina, Lionel Messi donated a significant sum of money to other medical centers.
