Vietnam's capital retakes measures to fight Covid-19
Hanoi, Aug 18 (Prensa Latina) Hanoi authorities stated that several preventive measures are currently in force in the city to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The mandatory use of sanitary facemasks in public places and public transportation, keeping a minimum one-meter distance among restaurants' customers, and taking body temperature, are some of the measures.
Sporting events, mass gatherings and services in bars, karaoke bars, other entertainment sites, beauty salons and others had already been suspended earlier.
Hanoi reported 34 Covid-19 cases in the last days, 23 of them repatriated from other nations and 11 returned from Da Nang. That central Vietnamese city has become the epicenter of this second wave of the disease.
Although the cases were not so many, already during the first wave of the disease, Hanoi was under special prevention measures, even more rigorous than those proposed today. Many Hanoi citizens think that the regulations will be stepped up in the coming days.
When the disease broke out again in Da Nang, Vietnam was experiencing a 'new normal' stage that allowed it to focus on reviving the economy. Now, several territories have had to take up some or all previous preventive measures.
