Prensa Latina, experience carries weight
Havana, (Prensa Latina) Statistics are always described as cold and occasionally fickle, but in the end, they mark a starting point and are a historic reference.
In the battle among website, supported by social networks, Prensa Latina is today an indisputable leader of news and information in Cuba.
Recent examples of credibility and qualitative level in the use of sources by the news agency were the announcement of the Cuban vaccine candidate Soberana 01 (Sovereign 01), the warnings and reports about Tropical Storm Laura, and several stories on sports and culture.
The Alexa Rank global positioning system confirms that reality. Prensa Latina is in the 2,541st place in the world ranking of the most visited websites, moving up rapidly over the past 90 days, when it was in the 13,420th position.
Considered one of the most trustworthy companies in data traffic, global classifications and information in 30 million websites, Alexa Rank is a website visited by more than 6.5 million web surfers every month, and it currently places Prensa Latina in the third place of the 'Top Sites in Cuba', only preceded by Google and YouTube.
According to experts, this good position results, in part, from the large amount of contents generated every day.
They show the news agency, founded in 1959 as an initiative of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and Ernesto Che Guevara, during Operation Truth, with materials that deal about the clamor in other countries and by world-renowned figures to grant the Nobel Peace Prize to the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade, which has rendered its services in several countries to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
