Bolivia's ombudsperson denounces attempts of new attacks
La Paz, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia's Ombudsperson Nadia Cruz denounced on Tuesday the attempts by organized groups to attack the institution's headquarters again with the permission of the de facto government.
Cruz warned on Twitter that those groups also threaten and attack the people who come to the entity, and called for an end to violence.
Last week several people attacked the headquarters of the Bolivian institution and intimidated Cruz, who assured that the de facto regime is aware of those actions, but does nothing.
Defenders of the region spoke out against this type of attack against Cruz and the entity she represents and urged the Bolivian State to save her life.
Meanwhile, the Office in La Paz of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights recommended that the authorities protect the institution 'against any form of pressure, attacks or reprisals attached to its work,' according to the Oxygen website.
