Tourism attracts attention in Cuba, document states
Havana, Sep 9 (Prensa Latina) Tourism and its plans for development despite Covid-19 have attracted the attention of the Cuban government programs, as reflected in a tabloid circulating in this country on Wednesday.
The document was spread this week under the name of 'Synthesis of the economic-social strategy to boost the economy and face the global crisis caused by Covid-19.'
Promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the 37-page text covers with 497 measures all spheres of Cuban society, and among them, the travel industry has a priority.
Health, social protection, the state and private sector, the recovery stages of the pandemic and the 2021 State Plan and Budget, among many other items, are also included in the text.
Regarding tourism particularly, the document points out that even with a certain slowdown in its growth rate, it keeps on being the main sector for the country's development.
This plan envisages promoting the certification of good practices associated with the control of Covid-19 through the Most Hygienic Tourism Certification and Insurance (T+HS), granted by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) and the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR).
