Xi Jinping advocates stable relations with Japan
Beijing, Sep. 16 (Prensa Latina) Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday called for guaranteeing long-term stability relations with Japan, thus congratulating Yoshihide Suga on taking office as Prime Minister.
In his message, Xi Jinping stated that a friendly cooperation with each other is quite beneficial for bilateral interests, peace, stability and regional prosperity, because both nations have an important role in Asia and worldwide.
Xi Jinping urged to become attached to the principles of joint documents and also contribute to the construction of links that meet the needs of both sides.
Aside from Xi Jinping, the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang also congratulated Suga, saying that Beijing is willing to work with Japan in order to strengthen friendly exchanges, practical cooperation in several fields, and boost mutual ties.
Yoshihide Suga, 71, on Wednesday became Japan's 99th Prime Minister, two days after his election to replace the resigning Shinzo Abe as leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
He promised to further boost his predecessor's program, halt the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus as soon as possible and protect public health.
