Covid-19 Pandemic Stalled in Mexico City
Mexico, Sep 21 (Prensa Latina) The Health Secretary of Mexico City, Oliva Lopez Arellano, warned today that the Covid-19 pandemic is stalled in the capital, as hospital occupancy continues unabated.
In statements to the national press, the official explained that although there is a containment in the number of positive cases per day and deaths, the level of hospital admissions continues without decreasing.
We can say that, despite the complexity, in Mexico City, with its density, population and stores, we have a containment, but on the other hand the epidemic is stagnant in the number of hospitalizations, we have not had the reduction of the previous month, although overall the curve has shown a decline in cases, he said.
Currently, he said, hospital occupancy is a relevant indicator, as it shows the existence of serious cases.
