Cuban president highlights force of Fidel Castro's speech at UN
Havana, Sep 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday noted the force of Fidel Castro's speech at the United Nations 60 years ago.
On his Twitter account, the president stressed that the Cuban Revolution made history with those words at the United Nations.
Diaz-Canel quoted Fidel when he said, 'Our opportunity to tell the truth is this, and we will not leave without telling it'.
According to the president, Cuba will always speak to the world on the basis of that principle.
On September 26, 1960, then Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro spoke for the first time at the top UN body and his speech, which lasted nearly five hours, is among the longest given there.
In addition, it is one of the most critical and tough speeches against the war philosophy and looting.
