President Diaz-Canel calls to overcome new Covid-19 outbreak in Cuba
Havana, Sep 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday called to focus the country's action on overcoming the new Covid-19 outbreak.
On his Twitter account, the president recalled that Havana and Ciego de Avila (central Cuba) mark the course of the disease in the country.
In light of the new outbreak since July, Cuba has prioritized the epidemiological surveillance, the active survey, restrictions to mobility, capacities in isolation centers, and the rigorous implementation of health and sanitary measures against Covid-19.
Cuba's west and center regions have reported the most complex epidemiological situation and the country has accumulated 5,350 Covid-19 cases since March.
Previously, the president noted that Cuba's priority is 'to save lives and share what we are and have at the price of any sacrifice.'
