Nicaragua denounces at PAHO campaign against Cuban doctors
Managua, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) The disinformation campaign about the humanitarian work Cuban doctors are currently doing in different countries globally was denounced by the Nicaraguan health authorities at the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO).
Health Minister, Dr. Martha Reyes, also demanded at PAHO Board of Directors the immediate end of the US-imposed economic blockade on Cuba.
We congratulate Cuba for being an example of international cooperation and solidarity despite the unjust blockade to which it has been subjected, the health minister said in her speech.
Reyes also expressed at the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO) Nicaragua's desire that PAHO, as a technical agency, is not contaminated with the political actions of countries that want to separate our Caribbean America.
The minister ratified Nicaragua's firm and unwavering solidarity with Cuba and Venezuela, and extended a cordial welcome to a government delegation from the South American nation that will come to this country soon, in addition to advocating that the two nations continue maintaining cooperation.
