New poll gives advantage to MAS candidate in Bolivia
1 de octubre de 2020, 14:42La Paz, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) A new press survey in Bolivia gives an advantage today to the MAS candidate Luis Arce just over two weeks before elections.
To the question 'Whether next Sunday were the general elections, who would you vote for?', 30.6% of those surveyed supported Arce, followed by the Comunidad Ciudadana candidate Carlos Mesa, with 24.7%.
Luis Fernando Camacho of Podemos alliance appears in third place with 12.7%, while the other four candidates do not reach 3% support among those interviewed by CIERSMORI pollster.
This is the first poll in which the de facto president Jeanine Añez does not appear as a candidate, who resigned from the election race in mid-September to avoid, she explained then, the vote dispersion and a MAS victory at the polls.
CIERSMORI's survey consulted 2,401 people throughout the country from September 20 to 29, and claimed to have a margin of error of 1.99%.
