Egypt sent military aid planes to Sudan
1 de octubre de 2020, 17:17Cairo, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) Egypt on Thursday has sent military planes carrying humanitarian aid to Sudan in order to help those affected by floods, leaving more than 100 deaths, Egypt Today reported.
The freights, made up mainly of food, were sent from this capital on military planes by order of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, added the digital portal.
According to official sources, around 500,000 Sudanese families in 16 states were affected as a result of recent floods, ravaging homes and forced residents to seek refuge elsewhere.
The current freight is the second donation of its kind organized by the Egyptian government in order to support Sudanese inhabitants who face consequences of Covid-19 as well.
Previous freight, also sent by the military, also included medical supplies, Egypt Today noted.
