Iranian foreign minister describes visit to China as fruitful
Tehran, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday described as fruitful his talks with his Chinese peer, Wang Yi, with whom he discussed the Comprehensive Strategic Association between the two countries.
In a message on social networks, published by Press TV, Zarif pointed out that the two parties reject the unilateralism and hegemonic efforts of the United States.
Heading a high-level delegation, the Iranian foreign minister arrived in China on Saturday, in compliance with an official invitation from Yi.
The head of Iranian diplomacy explained that they agreed to strengthen bilateral relations as part of a 25-year roadmap in order to establish a strategic association, regional cooperation, the preservation of the nuclear deal, and collaboration to develop a vaccine against Covid-19.
Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister Spokesman Saed Khatibzadeh had said that Zarif's visit to China was part of celebrations on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both nations.
