National Circus of Cuba resumes performances in post-Covid-19 stage
Havana, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) The National Circus of Cuba resumed its performances in Havana on occasion of the National Culture Day, which commemorates the beginning of the wars for the independence in the country, official sources said on Sunday.
Organizers announced that new spaces will be opened at the Covarrubias and Avellaneda halls of Teatro Nacional de Cuba, where audiences can enjoy the best of performing arts.
According to the press release, the audiences attending the shows must comply with safety and social distancing measures, including the mandatory use of a facemask, hand disinfection when entering the theater and reduced seating capacity per show.
The Trompoloco Cultural Center will also resume its regular performances, with an attractive premiere called 'Trompoloco de Fiesta', by the Cirdance Company, on weekends and under strict health protocols.
The opening of circus shows takes place after Havana lifted restrictions. Other cultural institutions such as cinemas, art galleries, museums, the public library system and bookstores also resumed their services, after a long pause caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
