Dominican Republic reports 422 new cases of Covid-19, four deaths
Santo Domingo, Oct 18 (Prensa Latina) The Dominican Republic's Public Health Ministry reported on Sunday 422 new cases with Covid-19 and four deaths.
According to this Sunday's special bulletin, with those confirmed ago the number of diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 reached 121,347, the pathogen that causes Covid-19.
Likewise, the number of deaths reached 2,199, although health authorities said the reports correspond to the last few days and not to the last 24 hours.
The provinces with the highest number of infections are: National District (31,802), Santo Domingo (24,440) and Santiago (13,454).
On the other hand, 420,880 people have been ruled out in the country after the test, there are 20,941 active cases, the death rate is 1.81 percent and the daily positive rate is 13.30.
Hospital wards dedicated to the care of patients with Covid-19 are at 21 percent occupancy and in the case of intensive care units, they are at 30 percent.
