Role of Dominican institution Funglode on its 20th anniversary
Santo Domingo, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) The president of the Global Democracy and Development Foundation (Funglode), Leonel Fernández, highlighted the role of that Dominican institution being renewed today in its 20th anniversary.
In a panel called Funglode: 20 years thinking about the future, with which the anniversary activities began, the former president of the country was delighted by the successes of the Foundation and announced future projects such as the creation of a Social Networks Unit, a digital newspaper and the opening of a content production company.
Fernández explained that the purpose is to widespread diffusion and increase the reach of that center of thought, as it is usually called.
'To understand you have to know, and to know you have to reflect; meditate; study. Funglode wants to be that, a transformation center of the Dominican Republic, Latin America and the world, but based on knowledge,' he added.
Finally, he pondered the great network that the institution has created, establishing relationships with institutions of great prestige and personalities, which has allowed a relevant exchange of knowledge which impacted many young people already inserted in the Dominican workplace.
These days, an extensive program commemorates the anniversary, and the inauguration of the Global Multimedia building is taking place today, with which Funglode will assume the production of contents on radio and television platforms, with programs and musical productions, as well as cinematographic productions, on topics of interest to the institution.
