Teeth fall out, new Covid-19 sequelae
27 de noviembre de 2020, 13:48Washington, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) Some experts currently analyze in depth a new sequelae to Covid-19, which in addition to affecting various organs, also causes people already recovered from the SARS-CoV-2 virus could fall out their teeth.
Among the most common dental symptoms reported by those recovered from this disease are tooth loss, teeth change color and more sensitive gums, The New York Times states.
Covid-19 survivors say these dental problems occur without bleeding and pain, others claim their gums are more sensitive or that their teeth are turning grey or chipping.
Teeth falling out without any blood is unusual and provides a clue that there might be something going on with the blood vessels in the gums, a damage that may have been caused by the virus, researchers say.
So far, studies continue on the sequelae of Covid-19, such as the effects to heart, liver, pancreas, lungs, cognitive activity and brain aging.
