Quito, Dec 20 (Prensa Latina) Ecuadorians will be able to follow two presidential debates on radio and TV next January, within the framework of the elections calendar in force for the general elections of 2021. The initiative will be broadcasted on a number television channels and radio stations, divided into two programs, each with the participation of eight candidates, defined by lottery.
According to the details offered by the newspaper El Comercio, organizer of the events, the debates will take place at the National Theater of the House of Ecuadorian Culture in the capital.
Both exchanges will be carried in the absence of public and in compliance with strict biosafety measures.
During the programs, the contestants will address issues relevant to the country and present proposals related to the economy, work and production, pandemic and health, citizen security and the fight against corruption.
In the elections of February 7th, 2021, Ecuadorian voters will elect the next president, vice president, members of the National Assembly and Andean parliamentarians.
