At the same time, he highlighted the dedication and generosity of those who, 'with professionalism, self-denial, sense of responsibility and love for their neighbor, have helped, treated, comforted and assisted many sick people and relatives.'

Vatican City, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) Pope Francis said on Tuesday that investing on treatments and care for sick people is a top priority linked to the principle that health is a primary common asset.
In a message on the occasion of the 29th edition of the World Sick Day, commemorated by the Vatican, the Supreme Pontiff said that the Covid-19 pandemic brought to light many deficiencies in health systems and shortages in treatments of the sick.
