Lima, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) Peruvian political analyst Gustavo Espinoza on Tuesday condemned the decision of the outgoing US President Donald Trump to include Cuba in Washington's unilateral list of countries that promote terrorism.
'It is simply an absurdity that his collaborators intend to use as a 'political expression,'' Espinoza stated to Prensa Latina, upon indicating that Trump seeks to use the measure 'as a cover-up for the accusation of a coup d'état that is hanging over him.'
The expert added that the US president will surely say that they are accusing him for political reasons because he is against Cuba and that 'they are attacking him, Chavez's followers who came to power by the hand of Joe Biden' and are trying to put an end to the US democracy.
The US president 'leaves his successor with a task: to get Cuba off that list, which in Trump's opinion will confirm his 'communist inclinations,'' Espinoza expressed.
Trump, in short, has perpetrated a shameless act that must be rejected outright, he concluded.
