Macron calls on Government to promote reforms in France
Paris, Jan 13 (Prensa Latina) French President Emmanuel Macron will meet with the full Government on Wednesday to discuss the reforms he considers necessary to implement this year, in order to present results for the forthcoming 2022 presidential elections.
The objective of the meeting, which will bring together all 42 members of the executive, is 'to establish the course of the next few months, take stock of everything that has been done since the beginning of the five-year term and outline some perspectives for the future,' said Pierre-Alexandre Anglade, the spokesman for the ruling party.
In turn, Macron is determined to 'act until the last days' of his term in order to present 'concrete results' to the French people, 'it is very important to show that things continue to move forward,' he said.
In addition, the meeting should address and relaunch the controversial pension reform, postponed for almost a year due to the health crisis, and analyze the implementation of the 100-billion-euro recovery plan presented in September, which must 'reach the ground quickly, strongly and tangibly,' said Macron.
