14 de enero de 2021, 10:9Tehran, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) Iran is planning to make its own nuclear fuel for a research reactor, local media outlets highlighted on Thursday.
The Mehr news agency reported on the confirmation by the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) of Iranian plans on this matter.
'Rafael Grossi, IAEA´s director general, shared such an information with the rest of the members,' Mehr reported.
Iranian scientists hopes to produce metallic uranium as part of their goal of creating an improved-type fuel for the Tehran research reactor, Grossi stressed.
While HispanTV aired that the installation of necessary equipment to conduct this high-level professional mission has just began.
Gharibabadi confirmed IAEA is aware of all steps and its inspectors visited the fuel plate factory to check its safety and purposes.
