Syrian refinery increases oil and gas delivery
14 de enero de 2021, 11:7Damascus, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) The Baniyas refinery in Syria's Latakia province, increased oil and gas processing, after receiving the necessary supplies, according to reports on Thursday.
In a communiqué, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources pointed out that this way, oil and gas is distributed to the power network in all Syrian provinces.
In turn, Ahmad al-Shammat, director of the Syrian Company for the Storage and Distribution of Petroleum Products (SADCOP), said this will result in a decrease in congestion in distribution centers.
After a general maintenance in late 2020, the Baniyas refinery supplies 90% of oil byproducts that Syria needs and it is the main refinery in the country.
Syria has another plant in neighboring Homs, the capital of the province of the same name.
