La Paz, Jan 15 (Presa Latina) Former Bolivian President Evo Morales thanked the heads of State of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez; Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro; and Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, for offering him treatment against Covid-19.
'I am moved by the offers to the Pachamama, prayers and calls of solidarity that I am receiving from Bolivia and abroad, and by the offer from the brothers @alferdez, from Argentina; @NicolasMaduro, from Venezuela and @DiazCanelB, from Cuba, for treatment. Deeply grateful,' Morales tweeted.
The leader was admitted to the Los Olivos clinic in the city of Cochabamba on Monday, suffering from shortness of breath and, once the tests were carried out to evaluate his condition, he was immediately isolated in a room, the Los Tiempos newspaper reported.
A statement released by the newspaper confirmed that Morales is stable, while the newspaper Opinion reported on damage to his lungs.
