Damascus, Jan 20 (Prensa Latina) Syria on Wednesday denounced the US troops' aggressions in the Al-Yarubiyah region, in the northern province of Hasaka, in a message sent to the United Nations Security Council.
Such events occurred 'in recent days by the current deceptive administration of Donald Trump, who worked to destabilize Syria, encouraged separatist movements, hindered a political solution and provided all kinds of support to terrorists and aggression against positions of the Syrian Arab Army, the press release said.
From Washington, 'attempts were made to promote lies about their alleged fight against terrorism or to offer protection to the Syrian people, but facts on the ground proved exactly the opposite,' the communiqué stressed.
Likewise, the Foreign Ministry emphasized that what the US occupation forces are doing is a flagrant aggression against the sovereignty, unity and integrity of Syrian territories and a violation of international law and Security Council's resolutions related to this nation, including Resolution 2254.
Syria urges the international community to condemn the US actions and its continued occupation of Syrian territory, as well as the imposition of unilateral coercive economic measures aimed at starving the people, and assures that the continuation of these policies is a challenge to the will of the international community and a prolongation of the bloodshed, the statement noted.
