Cubans living in Costa Rica reject US decision
22 de enero de 2021, 16:26San Jose, Jan 22 (Prensa Latina) The Antonio Maceo Cultural Association of Cubans Residing in Costa Rica (ACCRCRCR) on Friday rejected Cuba's inclusion in the list of countries that sponsor terrorism and asked the new US President Joe Biden to correct the absurd provision.
Cubans residing in Costa Rica repudiate the decision of the government of former US President Donald Trump (2017-2021) to include Cuba in its unilateral list of countries sponsoring terrorism, indicates the ACCRCR statement, disclosed on social networks.
'We hope that such absurd inclusion will be corrected by the Biden administration, inaugurated on January 20 as the 46th US president, because Cuba can never be considered a sponsoring nation of those acts, but quite the opposite,' the text notes.
It highlights that the pacifist, conciliatory and humanist vocation of the Cuban Revolution is proven, demonstrated in multiple international forums and with the invaluable presence of its professionals in different areas, but mostly in health, in dozens of countries around the world.
It is especially noteworthy that during the Covid-19 pandemic, Cuban medical brigades have provided their services in over 40 nations, including the developed countries in Europe.
