Syria adjusts mechanisms to acquire vaccines against Covid-19
26 de enero de 2021, 15:4Damascus, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) The Syrian government approved the adhesion to the COVAX initiative, through the World Health Organization (WHO), for the acquisition of vaccines against Covid-19.
In that regard, the Ministry of Health was directed to take the necessary steps and continue discussions with friendly countries to have access to the necessary immunizers as soon as possible.
According to the most recent briefing from the health authorities, Syria has accumulated 13,297 Covid-19 cases, of which 7,721 were recoveries, and 890 deaths.
The country maintains border closures and public restrictions in workplaces, commercial, sports, service, educational and religious institutions.
