New Delhi, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) India on Wednesday reported another 137 deaths from health complications caused by Covid-19, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
This contagious disease, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, has so caused the death of as many 153,724 individuals, according to statistics from local health authorities.
The number of coronavirus-infected inhabitants since the beginning of the outbreak in this country (nearly a year ago) amounted to 10,689,527, according to official data.
However, India´s toll of active cases dropped to 176,498, as at least 10,359,305 people have recovered.
India´s national Covid-19 patient recovery rate rose favorably to 96.91%.
