Solis and singers Hector Tellez and Miguel Angel Piña, as well as other well-known musicians, and her daughter, Farah Maria Mañalich, recall the so-called Cuban Gazelle.
With awards and performances in nearly 12 countries, Farah Maria's legacy was deeply felt by Cubans, who appreciated the warmth of her voice and her versatility, tinged with the grace that came from her body language and knowledge of dance on stage.
Significant moments in her career were her performances at the Garcia Lorca Theater, now Alicia Alonso Theater, along with Josephine Baker and Cuban musician Ignacio Villa (Bola de Nieve), in addition to her appearances in films and musical comedies.

Santiago de Cuba, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) Entitled El Recuerdo de Aquel Largo Viaje (The Memory of that Long Trip), a radio-documentary by filmmaker Gonzalo Gonzalez is circulating as a tribute to late singer Farah Maria, who had a musical career of remarkable popularity in Cuba.
This sound project, named after one of the artist's best-known songs, composed by Raul Gomez, is a journey through the life and work of Farah Garcia Callava, who died recently at the age of 76.
