Bolivian president promulgates health emergency law
La Paz, Feb 12 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Luis Arce enacts on Friday the Health Emergency Law that includes immunization policies, personnel hiring and medicine control to face future crises in the health system.
The regulation also establishes to set up a strategic national council for emergencies in the sector such as the Covid-19 pandemic, health records and services, hiring and customs clearance, in addition to a sanctioning regime.
Senate President Andronico Rodriguez affirmed on Thursday that this law will be immediately put into effect to benefit all Bolivians, according to a note published on the website of the Government agency.
About the right to protest questioned by the Medical College of Bolivia, Rodriguez ratified what was stipulated in the Political Constitution of the State and clarified that the health service cannot be interrupted in any way, as the Constitution establishes.
