Bogota, (Prensa Latina) With the reopening of venues dedicated to the promotion of arts, culture revives today in the Colombian capital, as part of the strategy aimed at start activating the sector that has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
As reported by the District Institute of Arts (Idartes) in its official Twitter account, from this weekend several cultural venues will open their doors.
Likewise, the entity assured that the security measures established to ensure the welfare of the public and artists, such as social distancing, the use of masks and reduced capacity, will be maintained.
The schedule of the revival strategy includes the opening of theaters El Parque, Jorge Eliécer Gaitán and the open-air La Media Torta, as well as Galería Santa Fe, the Cinemateca de Bogota and the inauguration of the Mobile Stage.
The new phase will also include the development of other actions for the benefit of artists, whose work has been hit by the plummeting of the cultural industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Among the proposals for this resumption phase are dance shows, the exhibition 'Por la causa latinoamericana' (For the Latin American Cause), the staging of works such as 'Meta...Formosis' and 'Programacion H' and the 14th edition of the National Young Art Festival.
The agenda of the Bogota Cinematheque also includes the first Colombian Performance Biennial, as well as the screening of the films 'Como el cielo despues de llover', It Must Be Heaven, Night Vision, Corpus Christie and 'La Gomera'.
