'We are demanding the arrest of the biggest thief from PDVSA's coffers, who has taken Italy as a refuge, after stealing as many as 30 billion dollars,' Jose Brito said.
On Thursday, Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab reiterated to Italy the extradition request of Rafael Ramirez, PDVSA president (2004 to 2013) and a former Minister of Petroleum, who was involved in corruption within this national industry.
'We hope that Italy, in view of the request of the Venezuelan State, will hand over this criminal so that he can respond to justice. Nothing to hide, Nothing to fear,' Saab said.

Caracas, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) A commission of the Comptroller's Office of the National Assembly (AN) of Venezuela arrived in Italy on Saturday to request the extradition of former PDVSA President Rafael Ramirez, who is accused of several crimes in Venezuela.
The president of the Special Commission to Investigate the Actions of the outgoing AN, José Brito, addressed the Italian Parliament to call for the apprehension of Rafael Ramirez, who is a refugee in that European country.
