Pakistan and Sri Lanka have maintained solid friendly relations since 1948 and this new visit will help to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
Iftikhar Ali Malik, President of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Khan's visit to Sri Lanka will strengthen bilateral ties focused on boosting trade and economic cooperation, the Associated Press of Pakistan agency stated.

Islamabad, Feb 23 (Prensa Latina) Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday arrived in Sri Lanka on an official two-day visit to boost bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, health, education, agriculture, and science and technology.
Khan traveled accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Adviser on Commerce and Investments Abdul Razak Dawood and Special Assistant for Oversees Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari, Pakistan Radio station informed.
