Havana, Feb 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported 836 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths due to complications from that disease, the chief epidemiologist at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Dr. Francisco Duran, confirmed at his regular press conference on television on Tuesday.
Cuba has accumulated 46,197 patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes the disease and 304 deaths since March 11, 2020.
Dr. Duran noted that 18,966 people are in hospitals, 2,924 are suspected patients, 11,184 are under surveillance and 4,858 are active patients.
There are 66 patients in intensive care units nationwide, 32 are seriously ill and 34 are critical, while 4,792 patients are evolving well.
On Monday, 942 patients were released from hospitals, 106 more than the number of confirmed cases, so the total of recovered patients in Cuba rose to 40,979.
