France's movement urges for solidarity with Cuba
24 de febrero de 2021, 14:19Paris, Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) The Coordinating Committee of Cuban Residents in France on Wednesday urged the world for solidarity with the country at a time when the Cuban Revolution is fighting against a media war with destabilizing purposes.
The movement's statement, an initiative that brings together several organizations called for workers, intellectuals, students, trade unionists, scientists, representatives of leftist parties, humanists and all good men and women of the five continents to support Cuba to counter aggressions.
On this date of great historic significance for the homeland, which in the current circumstances of an unprecedented world crisis suffers the onslaught of the criminal US blockade, in addition to facing with unequal weapons the media war unleashed by those who would like to see Cuba on its knees, we call for solidarity, the organization referred.
February 24, 1895 marks the resumption of the independence struggle convened by the hero Jose Marti, which found its definitive victory on January 1, 1959, with the triumph of the Revolution.
The Cubans living in France gathered in the Coordinating Committee decided to accompany Cuba in its right to self-determination, condemn the US economic, commercial and financial blockade –which they described as genocidal- and recognize the country's efforts to save its children from poverty, illiteracy and other evils.
They also called for a worldwide rejection of the attacks by mercenaries and opportunists at the service of foreign interests in domination, protagonists of the crusades on social networks.
