Berlin, Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) thanked the German association Humanitarian Aid to Cuba - created 25 years ago in the city of Bochum - for its solidarity, diplomatic sources informed on Wednesday.
In a letter, the ICAP's president, Fernando Gonzalez, highlighted the humanist work of that organization, as well as its efforts to coordinate initiatives of German and European institutions and citizens to support Cuba.
The letter, addressed to the coordinator of that entity, Klaus Piel, highlights that the association managed to raise financial and material resources for the shipment to Cuba of 102 containers with donations allocated mainly to hospitals and healthcare centers.
Likewise, the group stands out for disseminating the achievements of Cuba in this sector and its cooperation with other countries in the world.
Cuba is grateful for the constancy and dedication with which the organization has supported its people for 25 years, especially in the area of health, which has been seriously affected by the genocidal US policy, according to the press release.
