According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the extension of the agreement for six months was signed on Thursday by the general director of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland, and Cuban Ambassador Sergio Jorge Pastrana.
Present at the ceremony were Kenneth George, a senior medical official from the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Barbados; Barbadian Ambassador at Caricom David Comissiong, and the Caricom director at the Foreign Ministry of Barbados, Sandra Gittens.

Havana, Apr 8 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban medical brigade that has worked in Barbados for a year to fight Covid-19 will extend its services in that country, Cubaminrex reported on Thursday.
At the request of Barbadian authorities, all 115 members of the Henry Reeve Contingent Specialized in Situations Disasters and Big Epidemics will continue working in that country until early October.
