Cuba reports 83,087 Covid-19 recoveries
Havana, Apr 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Tuesday reported that 83,087 people have recovered from Covid-19, in a day when 1,060 new coronavirus cases were detected, 9 people died and 1,183 people were medically discharged.
National Director of Epidemiology, Dr.Francisco Duran, explained on his press briefing on television that of the 1,060 detected cases, 1,042 are local and 18 are imported.
From March, 2020, to date, 88,445 citizens fell ill with Covid-19 in Cuba, the expert said.
Some 21,399 tests to detect the coronavirus have been conducted in 24 molecular biology laboratories in the country.
A total of 4,826 Covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized, 1,765 of whom have a stable clinical evolution, whereas 61 cases are in intensive care units, 31 in a serious state and 30, in a critical condition.
